Using EUnifyer Office
EUnifyer Office gives you three desktop apps that open from the same suite:
| App | For | Common formats |
|---|---|---|
| EUnifyer Docs | Documents, letters, reports | .docx, .doc, .odt, .rtf, .txt |
| EUnifyer Sheets | Spreadsheets, data, budgets | .xlsx, .xls, .ods, .csv |
| EUnifyer Slides | Presentations, decks | .pptx, .ppt, .odp |
The ribbon interface
EUnifyer Office uses a modern ribbon (NotebookBar) layout by default — tabs like Home, Insert, Layout, and Review group the tools you need, similar to other mainstream office suites. Everything is where you’d expect it.
Prefer the classic toolbars? Switch the layout under View → User Interface and pick a different option (e.g. Tabbed Compact or Toolbar).
Microsoft-compatible by default
Documents save in Microsoft formats (OOXML) by default — .docx, .xlsx,
.pptx — so files open cleanly for colleagues and partners regardless of which
office suite they use. You can still save to OpenDocument (.odt / .ods /
.odp) or export to PDF from File → Export as PDF.
Everyday editing
- Create — launch the app and start a blank document, or open an existing file from your Drive folder.
- Open — File → Open, then browse to your synced
~/EUnifyerfolder (see Files & Sync). - Save — ⌘/Ctrl + S. Saving into your synced folder syncs the file back to Drive automatically.
- Auto-save — enabled by default, so your work is preserved as you go.
- Export to PDF — File → Export as PDF for a share-ready copy.
Tips
- Co-workers can keep editing in the browser editor — both read and write the same files in your Drive.
- Large or complex documents (mail merge, pivot tables, macros) are where the desktop suite shines over the browser.
