Files & Sync
EUnifyer Office is built to work directly on your EUnifyer Drive through the Desktop Sync App. Your documents live in one place and stay in sync everywhere.
Where files are saved
By default, EUnifyer Office saves into your synced ~/EUnifyer folder — the
local folder the Desktop Sync App keeps mirrored with your Drive. Anything you
save there:
- appears in EUnifyer Drive (web) and on your other devices,
- is shareable like any other Drive file,
- is backed up by your organization’s platform.
Don’t have Desktop installed? Install the Desktop Sync App first so the
~/EUnifyerfolder exists and syncs. Without it, files save only to your local disk.
Open in EUnifyer Office
Once both apps are installed, the Desktop Sync App detects EUnifyer Office and
adds an “Open in EUnifyer Office” action to your documents — right-click a
.docx / .xlsx / .pptx in your file manager (or in Drive) and it opens in
the desktop suite, edits, and saves straight back to Drive.
Working offline
Because files are real files in a local folder, you can edit offline. Your changes save locally, and the Desktop Sync App syncs them to Drive automatically the next time you’re online.
Avoiding conflicts
- If you and a teammate edit the same file at the same time across devices, sync may create a conflicted copy so no work is lost — reconcile the two versions and delete the extra.
- For simultaneous co-authoring, use the browser editor instead, which supports real-time collaboration.
